Holiday Food Drive

Spread hope this season by providing canned goods and essentials for survivors

The Safehouse pantry is in need this holiday season! Your support is essential for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Safehouse provides three meals a day and snacks to an average of 30 people daily, and your donations keep adult and child survivor plates full, year-round.

We can accept holiday foods, but also non-holiday food items and staples like Cake mix, Icing for cookies and cake, Brownie mix, Diced tomatoes, Assorted pastas, Sugar (white and brown), Cornbread, Coffee creamer, Cereal, Jelly, Tuna fish, Crackers, Ramen soups, Chef Boyardee, Ranch mix packets, English peas, Green beans, Dish soap, Salt, Tea, Kool Aid, and more.

The deadline for our Food Drive is Friday, December 5. Drop off these items at any outreach office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Be sure to call ahead for San Augustine, Crockett, and Nacogdoches office hours as they are limited.

Bring Christmas Joy for Survivor Parents and Children on Christmas Morning

Individuals, businesses, or groups can make a lasting difference by adopting a family. These families are currently receiving services at the Family Crisis Center. The agency provides a personalized wish list of gifts, including clothing and shoe sizes for each family member, making the process both simple and deeply meaningful.

The agency also welcomes donations of wrapping paper and supplies for each adopted family, allowing parents to wrap gifts themselves and share in the joy of giving during the holidays.

Families can be adopted through Thursday, December 11, with unwrapped gifts and wrapping supplies to be dropped off at the agency's administrative or outreach offices between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

In 2024, the kindness of East Texans made the holidays brighter for 92 families and 225 children who received gifts through this program - a remarkable testament to the power of community compassion.
